Auditions are complete for the 2009-10 concert season.

 

Auditions for our 2010-2011 concert season will be held in April, 2010.  Please check back for more information in early Spring 2010. 

 

Singers currently in grades 2-11 are welcome to audition.

The auditions are by appointment only.

Audition Requirements:

  1. Any young person that loves to sing and is currently in 2nd through 11th grade may audition.
  2. A Teacher Recommendation form must be completed and signed.  Bring the form to your audition or mail it to:

  1. Bring a parent to the audition to complete registration paperwork.  An Allegro staff member will be available to answer questions and provide information.

What to Expect During the Audition:

  1. The Audition process will take 20-30 minutes.  Please arrive a few minutes early to check in and have your photo taken.
  2. Singers will:
    1. Take a theory placement test (For Vivo & Moto Auditions Only)
    2. Sing simple vocal warm-ups and exercises
    3. Sing "Happy Birthday" unaccompanied in the key of E or E-flat
    4. Sight read simple melodies (For Vivo & Moto Auditions Only)
    5. Aural and harmony exercises
    6. Prepare and sing "Star Spangled Banner" unaccompanied in the key of B or C
